The Silva
The Silva was the first high-rise residential project in Canada to achieve LEED certification. The form of development includes a 15 story residential tower over a 2-story retail commercial base. The full extent of the podium level is a green roof, which acts as an amenity space for the tower residents. The graphic pattern of radiating planting bands references both tree rings and ripples in water. The main floor entry courtyard incorporates a significant public art element that is integrated into the landscape design. This project received a design award from the City of North Vancouver
